I’m Allexi Learmonth – the “A. Learmonth” who wrote “Dying For The Right To Die”.   Well, you can call me Allexi, but that’s not my real name.   And if you do a Google search on “Allexi Learmonth”, I don’t think you’ll have much luck.   But I really am “A. Learmonth”.

Why have I cloaked my real identity?    Because there are very few people on Earth who share my name, and I expect a fair amount of hostile feedback over this book.    While it is undoubtedly a novel, you’ll find if you read it that I sail very close to the wind.   Many events in this book have real-world analogues, and the fact that I advocate for the repeal of the 2nd Amendment of the US constitution…..well let’s just say that if I lived in the USA and published this under my own name, then I would probably need some sort of Police protection. 

    

Yes….that’s right – I’m not a US citizen, so I can’t vote, and some of you may think….”Well how’s he got any right to comment!”   It’s a valid point, I guess.   By the whole world takes a keen interest in the US, and much of that world is flabbergasted that such a great democratic nation seems to have gotten itself into such a fatal corner over the issue of gun control.   No other advanced country in the world has this problem…..and I suspect most people outside the US agree that this issue seems to be your single most self-destructive flaw.    And in the end it’s a Novel….not fact.   I am merely spinning a story of what might be.  The path it draws is a dark and unpleasant one…but I and may others would argue that the US’s situation is currently so dire that something drastic needs to happen to facilitate the change you might need.
